Students can position themselves to take advantage of these new opportunities by gaining cutting-edge practical and theoretical skills to create and design content using digital tools.
The Digital Media Arts program focuses on digital design and interactive multimedia. The program combines design, technical and critical approaches in a 13-course, 39-credit major. Four computer labs, three full-time faculty and a part-time multimedia specialist are available to serve students in the Communication Studies Department in Lyons Hall.
The DMA Gallery features work from our talented students. Through a CMS developed by Associate Professor Ben dunkle, Adjunct Professor Nickasee Fitzpatrick, and Capstone Student Chris Sciuto, students can submit artwork for review, and vote on the work of their colleagues. Once a piece of work has received enough votes, and is deemed to be of high enough caliber, it appears automatically in the gallery.
