2007 Buffalo Digital Media Festival | Submitting work

The deadline for all submissions is May 14, 2007.

Please Email submissions as attachments, unless you are submitting to the Animation and Video Shorts

Email submissions to dmafest@canisius.edu. Please limit attachments to 10mB or less and include your

  • name
  • address
  • phone number
  • title of work
  • date of work
  • dimensions (in inches)
  • medium
  • Where you work or go to school
  • What year you are in (Senior, Sophomore, etc.)
  • If a student, your major

Registration

To register for the festival, click here. You will be taken to where you can pay for registration. After submitting your payment, a passcode will be emailed to access the work submission page, where you can upload your files for the competition, and vote on submissions for the People's Choice Award. Additionally, a pdf will be emailed to you, listing available events. Check off up to 5 workshops and email back to dmafest@canisius.edu. Workshops will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a workshop is full, you will be notified. Instructions for registering for workshops will be included in the email.

Awards

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be given for each category. In addition, a future star award will be given to the top high school submission, and a people's choice award will be given based on votes received.

Animation and Video Shorts

Suggested time is under 10 minutes - we cannot guarantee that anything over 10 minutes will be viewed.

Submission Requirements:
  • 320x240 Quicktime Movie for festival website
  • Screenshot of movie (still)
  • Drop off or mail in a DVD containing full-resolution project.

Web and Interactive Design

Submission Requirements:
  • Send clear, uncompressed PNG files (do not up-res images), at a size no larger than 1024x768 and no smaller than 800x600, displaying a screenshot of your submission.
  • URL linking to your submission (Canisius will not host any online submissions) or a DVD or CD with the submission installed as a self-running application for both Macintosh and Windows systems.
  • 100x100 pixel thumbnail, either cropped or resized

Still Images

Submission Requirements:
  • Send clear, uncompressed PNG files (do not up-res images), at a size no larger than 1024x768 and no smaller than 800x600.
  • In addition, send a PDF file
